The group is currently devising the session list and looking for speakers, so if you've got the chops, let them know.

CD2 Inaugural Meeting Tomorrow Night!

It's not to late to register and attend the inaugural meeting of the Chicago Designers & Developers User Group, Wednesday, July 9, 2008 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at the Illinois Information Technology Association (ITA), 200 S. Wacker Drive, 15th Floor, in Chicago.

I will be kicking off the meeting with a brief presentation about the genesis of cd2, our purpose and our mission. It will be followed by an open-mic and round-table discussion where attendees will get the chance to help drive the future direction of cd2 by sharing thoughts on what they hope to gain and learn.

Corey Miller will expose Silverlight 2 custom controls and explain the parts and state models in the recently released beta 2. Corey will show how to utilize these new concepts through the new preview of Expression Blend and Corey will introduce the new Visual State Manager.
